Thank You, James Taylor

If the sun must set on these lustrous days
Our bond has forged a splendid place to rest
Within the chambered heart there is a nest
That offers respite when the mad world preys
A crystal cave where one can go alone
Or two can stroll forever hand in hand
Though it is true no man is an island
This solitary peace won’t be undone
In sanctity of friendship tried and true
In breezes warm or tempest’s icy blow
An anchor in the storm these ties we know
At noon’s bright sun or twilight’s gentler hue
No matter how the path might twist and bend
The song rings ever so, You’ve got a friend.
