The Door Half Open

October mist
claims me, swirls me
into yesterday, tomorrow,
now

the hallway clock
conspires with it

ticking, ticking,
and then a chime
a reminder that wings
are

a sometimes thing
and just as important
is a soft place
to land

  1. Sarah,

Excellent openings lines, they take you with into the images of this gorgeous poem.
I could sit here all night and read your poetry.. You are such a talented poet, my dear friend.

    October mist
