A Sparrow’s Thanks Giving

The day is young;
no problems or perplexities
have formed to clutter
morning’s mind.

There is only now
with its pale sun
and the vocal sparrow
at my window.

In the calm of season’s pause,
all the answers that matter
shine in his tiny round eyes.
His song draws me near,

Lures me
into his  world
where even winter
is greeted with gratitude.

    From Matthew 10:29-31
    29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

    If we can learn to greet new days as sparrows do, we would all be much better off mentally, physically, and spiritually. Thank you for this reminder.
